Asha bhosle inaugurated Paramesh Paul’s Glory of the Ganges

In a pristine red backdrop, Nandi bull reigns, the bells ring out in all their glory, while millions take a dip of faith. Artist Paramesh Paul, through his works, transports you to Benaras, where he shows you the Ganges of his dreams… Paramesh Paul’s solo exhibition titled ‘Glory of the Ganges’ was inaugurated by Padmavibhushan Asha Bhosle ji at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery, Kala Ghoda. Other than Paramesh’s wife Lipi Paul, his mother Usha Rani Paul and son Pradyot Paul who were there to cheer for Paramesh, the gallery also resonated with the sounds of many other versatile artists like Kiran Chopra, Vipta Kapadia, Devyani Pareek, Gautam Mukherjii, Varsha Vyas, Amisha Mehta, Neeti Hegde, Neeta Pathare, Rakhi Baid, Madhusudan Kumar among others. Veteran filmaker Khalid Mohamed also attended this do.

Asha Bhosle said at the event  “I loved all of Paramesh Paul’s paintings and among all installations, I liked the Damroo the most. I haven’t been to Benaras yet, but after seeing these lovely paintings, I definitely want to go there soon.”

All in all, an eventful evening indeed!
