Jackie Shroff, the actor who has evolved with time retaining his unique style, will now be seen as a Rajput warrior ghost in producer Aneesh Arjun Dev’s Bhoot And Friends. This film is about four kids who get entangled with very bad guys in a search for a lost treasure. The actor says that is was the story and the chance to work with the kids again is what attracted him to this project. Check out what Mr Shroff told us about working on the film, playing a ghost and more!

Earlier you were the kid’s films Bhoot Uncleand King Uncle. Now you are the ghost of another kid’s film Bhoot And Friends. What pulls you to them?

Jackie Shroff: Because these films are good and kids give out so much of energy when I shoot with them. In fact when I travel or go anywhere, I get surrounded by kids for my roles in Bhoot Uncle and King Uncle . Nobody talks about Rangeela or Hero or Khalnayak . All the small packages and chota pulton remembers me as uncle. This shows that both the films have been watched and loved by kids. So why should I turn down another chance to entertain them.

What is your role? Are you a bad Bhoot?

Jackie Shroff: (Laughs) No, I am simply a bhoot who was a Rajput warrior. He was the senapati or a warlord and some things had gone wrong in a war. Since his death he has been waiting for the right opportunity to correct them.
