Tees Maar Khan, which hits theaters this Wednesday, brings back one of audiences favorite jodis, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. It also brings director Farah Khan and Akshay Kumar together for the first time and needless to say, you can almost be sure that the film will be incredibly entertaining and will keep you in splits. While the teasers have already created much hype regarding the film, audiences are literally drooling over Katrina’s hot and spicy, ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ number. But coming back to Khiladi, the actor is supremely excited for Tees Maar Khan. He says the film makes him really happy, in fact while dubbing for the film he laughed so much in between scenes, that he started to lose his voice. In true funny Akshay Kumar style, the actor talks to BollySpice regarding the comic caper film including working with Kat again and Farah Khan for the first time plus so much more.

Tell us a bit about your movie and what role you are playing.

Well, for now, I am ‘Tees Maar Khan’ and the Con is On… I am pretty much the complete opposite of the notorious’Robin Hood!!’ I ‘Love’ to, sorry I ‘Live’ to steal, but under no circumstances would I give it to anyone else, let alone the poor… I’m an un-educated Con-Artist who in the midst of trying to ‘Rob; a train, I have to ‘Con’ an entire village into making an Oscar winning movie in order for the ‘Great Train Robbery’ to be successful. But wait, what happens when the stupid train doesn’t turn up, Ha! I’m left directing the dumbest of villages and it’s two ‘highly dramatic enthusiastic’ leads played by Kat and Akshaye Khanna, into making a movie that of course hasn’t been written… This is only half of it, Farah Khan has made an incredibly fast paced movie with a masala of comedy, dance, envious romance, and scenes to Die for ;o).

Does Tees Maar Khan bring Akshay back in the kind of a role that audience love to see him most?

Yeah! You could say that, but as an actor I feel people should realize that in ‘this industry’ it is dangerous if you only do what the audience expects, as it is inevitably dangerous to attempt anything new as well. Hence the reason not every ambitious movie works, one aims to please and show versatility but 90% of the time it goes unwanted… Whoever said Show Business was easy ay!!
