After the not so well received Dil Bole Hadippa, Rani Mukherjee is back with a BANG. Promos of her latest release No One Killed Jessica are the talk of the town and what’s more, you can catch a glimpse of Rani, feistier than ever with a strong attitude to boot. Based on a controversial case, she plays Meera Bedi, a TV journalist and is joined by Vidya Balan as Sabrina, Jessica’s sister.

The actress has been doing promotional work for the film, and has said when speaking to TOI that she is a huge fan of Amit Trivedi, the film’s music director. So bowled over is Rani by Amit’s music in the film, that she often refers to him as the star of the film. Recently on a promotional event of the film, Rani expressed her thoughts on how she has been a huge fan of Amit especially in this film.

No One Killed Jessica’s story has a subject that screams controversy in itself, the Queen of hearts has found herself in her own little controversy with the language used in the promo, specifically her character and the smoking she does. “Personally, I don’t smoke and I wouldn’t set a wrong example for the youth. I do believe
that today’s youth are educated enough not to be midlessly influenced by celebrities,” says the
actress to Hindustan Times. Ask her if you have to swear if you’re a journalist, and she simply says “It’s just a character and I played it. So this issue is actually redundant.” Point noted.

No One Killed Jessica is releasing on January 7th, after which the actress should begin work on her next film co-starring Aamir Khan with Reema Katgi.
