Failing relationships always create drama in B-Town. One break-up that’s been in the news for a while is Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. Whether its Deepika’s alleged hook-up with Siddharth Mallya, son of industrialist Vijay Mallya, or Ranbir’s statement in the tabloids on how it irks him when he’s questioned on her link-ups, these two ex-lovebirds never fail in making an appearance in the others’ article. But now, in spite of all the reports that the two actors could not stand each other, Deepika has said she is open to working with Ranbir again.

As the rumours of a patch-up, a cold-war and allegations fly around, latest reports indicate something less turbulent. “I’m really looking forward to working with him (Ranbir) because I think we have not worked enough together” says the actress to Marie Claire. Even her exit from Anurag Basu’s Silence is due to constant script changes, not its lead actor, Ranbir. The October Bridal special issue has Deepika getting personal and talking about her how she got over the breakup and what she expects from her own ‘Lucky Boy’. “He needs to be my friend most importantly, a great companion, someone with whom I can spend the rest of my life” she adds.

But the feelings are more than mutual on this one. Ranbir, who’s Anjaana Anjaani is running strong at the box office, has nothing but praise for the Lafangey Parindey actress, and has been reported saying she is the future of B-Town. Talking to Filmfare, the young Kapoor said “She’s a good person, a great talent, she works hard and she comes from a good family.”
