The first Chicago 
South Asian Film Festival which will take place October 1-3, was “developed to promote South Asian culture throughout the Chicago area and Midwest, by showcasing filmmakers of South Asian descent as well as films that represent the perspective of the diaspora”. Showcasing 16 different independent films including features, shorts and documentaries, the festival will also play host to the actors and directors.
