Dabangg is on the brink of release and already anticipating much rage around the film, a sequel has been planned. It was the villain of the film, Sonu Sood who came out and announced that a second installment would happen but refused to reveal too much.
With regards to his character in the film, Sood said, “Cheedi completes Chulbul Pandey [Salman Khan]; they both are incomplete without each other. He is powerful and unpredictable, and he also adds humour to the negativity. Actually, he is quite similar to the character of Gabbar Singh.” Sood plays Cheedi Singh, a local youth politician. Sood also went on to say that he worked hard on his newly improved body to ensure that a bare-bodied fight sequence in the film would work well with Salman. “I used to work out for four hours every day to get the look. Salman used to pull my leg and say that I should not look better than him in the movie,” he joked.
The film will also include Bollywood’s first “Oil Fight Sequence.” Talking more about the stunts, an actor in the film claimed, “It is the first time that an oil fight sequence has been included in a Hindi movie. Shooting it was fun, but painful.”
Dabangg release September 10th! Be sure to catch it.
