The otherwise very social Priyanka Chopra has found herself living an extremely quiet and antisocial life in Coorg as she shoots for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf. In fact the actress hasn’t been in touch with any family or friends except for the leeches who have befriended her in the jungles of Coorg. The actress spoke to a leading newspaper and claimed, “This has been my longest innings away from family friends and a social life, unless of course you count the company of the leeches. I haven’t been able to keep in touch with anyone at all except for that one day when I had to fly to Delhi for my grandmother’s funeral.”

And what has the actress been doing post shoot daily? “There is no time to think about anything except work and sleep. And yes, I’ve been reading a lot of books and scripts. Otherwise, I’m totally focused on getting my character right… In a way, the lack of distraction is ideal. Saat Khoon Maaf is my biggest challenge to date. I don’t know if I can pull it off. But the fact that there’s only the work to focus on is definitely helping,” she explained.

In the film, the actress will play a woman who ranges from 20 to 60 and continuously murders her seven husbands. “Playing a murderer is not the biggest challenge. I’ve to get into the psyche of a woman who ages 40 years in the span of the film.” She is convinced though that irrespective of her age, P.C. is ready to rock and look hot! “Will I look hot as a 60-year old? I hope so.”

But with Vishal Bhardwaj making his first female-eccentric film and insisting on casting Priyanka in it, the actress already feels the pressure. “I feel a lot of responsibility has been put on me. And I’m very tense about getting it right. But I can really depend on Vishal Sir… Here I need a lot more guidance than Kaminey. After two films, I share a relationship with Vishal Sir that I haven’t shared with any other director. We understand each other instinctively. I feel very flattered by the fact that he’s making his first woman-centric film with me,” she says before she signs off.
