Now that Madhur Bhandarkar’s latest film Heroine is all set to role again, with Kareena Kapoor taking on the role from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the director is said to be planning a sequel to the film Fashion.

A source told the media, “Bhandarkar and UTV’s head honcho Ronnie Screwvala were both very keen to make the second part of Fashion. Fashion did really well and also earned the lead actress Priyanka Chopra a lot of critical acclaim. Looks like finally, Bhandarkar and Screwvala will have their dream come true. They have decided to launch the second part to Fashion in 2012.”

The sequel to the much-acclaimed movie is set to ‘go on the floors in December 2012.’ The source went on to tell the media, “The cast has not been finalised. Bhandarkar will zero down on a few names and then shortlist them. Right now, he is totally focused on Heroine.”

Fashion released in 2008 and was based on the dark side of the world of fashion. The film featured Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse in lead roles.

There is yet to be an official announcement from UTV or Madhur Bhandarkar with regards to the sequel but as soon as there is we will be sure to inform you, so stay tuned to Bollyspice.com.
