2010 looks like it’s lining up to be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s biggest year to date – with four top movies in the pipeline – Raavan, Endhiran, Guzaarish and Action Replay. To get her year off to a stunning start, Aish appears looking better than ever on the front cover of this month’s 3rd anniversary Hello magazine in a stylish single-shoulder black dress – and is interviewed inside by top Bollywood amanuensis Shobhaa De. “I have always preferred to hang out with the guys,” she admits in the interview, “I am not a part of the Bollywood girlie gangs. Don’t get me wrong, but I can’t see myself saying stuff like “Hey, babes… love your bag!”
Although a native Tulu speaker, Aish has been practising her Tamil so much that she has been able to dub her own lines in the Tamil versions of Endhiran and Raavan, much to the joy of the directors concerned. “Aishwarya has completed dubbing the Hindi version of Raavana,” said a source, “Now she has now begun dubbing for the Tamil version. No one can tell from her voice that she isn’t a Tamilian.”
Aish’s most devilish secret has finally been revealed – she simply cannot resist the sweet, sticky dessert mithai, even when she’s supposed to be dieting. “She stocks up sweets in her trailer at shoots, and at home and her personal refrigerator is usually stocked with pastries, chocolates, et al,” revealed a traitorous source, “And though she looks like a zillion bucks, she has to indulge her sweet tooth every day.” Naughty Aish!
