With her stunning Shilpa Shetty style looks, southern star Praneetha has made no bones about the fact she has her sights firmly set on Bollywood. With this aim in mind, she seems only prepared to act with the biggest heroes down south – the latest being Siddharth in Bava. “I am really happy with this new development,” she says, “The director says he was looking for a face that typified both tradition and modernity and I suited the role best. I am eager to work with Siddharth, who has proved his merit in many Tamil, Telugu and even Hindi films.”
Praneetha debuted in Bisile at the age of sixteen and still only eighteen she caught the audiences attention in Porki, opposite Challenging Star Darshan and Sangeetha Shetty, the Kannada remake of Pokkiri, which was also remade by Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia as Wanted. Praneetha played the Ayesha Takia role.
The director of Porki, MD Sridhar is very upbeat about Praneetha’s future. “She is a model-turned-actress with big dreams,” he explains, “Praneeta is a fast learner and would take only one or two shots to perform. I also plan to cast her in one of my upcoming projects.”
