Odd Bollywood Pairs

In a recent poll conducted, audiences came up with a list of potential pairs or/and already-happened pairs that they believe were rather odd. To begin with, readers were a bit weirded out when they saw the likes of Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif come together and appear on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. She was adorned in a fancy designer number while he was sitting pretty in a plain grey tee. Lots of chemistry, but none the less odd.

Naseeruddin Shah and Vidya Balan come next on this list. Although, she couldn’t stop gushing about him claiming, he was “every woman’s dream come true,” their connection didn’t really work for audience members. Yes, they managed to have some heated moments in their film Ishqiya, but in all honesty, the age difference didn’t work.

Director Vijay Lalwani promised that Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone’s pair-up was “fresh” and not “odd.” And he was absolutely correct. The odd part was not their pairing but the story which unfortunately didn’t create too much noise at the box office. The only thing that did create somewhat of ruckus were rumors of the duo getting along famously (and intimately) during the making of the film.

They had played brother and sister in Vishal Bhardwajs’ Omkara only to come back a few years later and star as husband and wife in Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? Yes, as a couple they have perhaps zero chemistry (?) but because of their dynamic acting styles and immense talent, Ajay Devgn and Konkona Sen Sharma came out as winners as a pair in their recently released film.

Salman Khan is one man who has no woes about age; his own and his co-stars. In the past, he has starred with a number of young and super-young starlets. And from the looks of it, he doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. Khan will next be seen with the 21-year-old Sonakshi Sinha in Dabangg. After seeing the young girl at a fashion show, he advised her to lose the baby fat and even convinced Sinha Senior to allow his young daughter to star in a film.
