Voluptuous southern star Namitha is ready to fire flame across the screens once more this Ugadi, the Deccan new year, with Hoo, the remake of the Tollywood monster hit Vasantham. Hoo also features Crazy Star V Ravi Chandran and Meera Jasmine. A story about love and friendship, it will showcase Namitha’s acting talents, which is sure to please her fans, many of whom literally worship her as a goddess in temples dedicated to her beauty – and represents perfect family entertainment for the holiday.

Namitha’s legions of fans are also agitating for wider distribution for Azhagana Ponnuthan which is sure to benefit from her oh! factor. The movie also features Parthiban and the plot is about an older woman who falls for a younger guy.

Meanwhile, Namitha’s work on the Balakrishna movie Simha was recently disrupted by Telangana activists. Balakrishna has come out against a separate state and has therefore become a target for the activists. The police sensibly defused the situation by moving the film crew on as they hadn’t asked permission to film in that village – a common occurrence in the movie industry. “The film unit did not secure permission from us for shooting,” said a police spokesman, “We asked them to wind up the shooting and they left.” The movie also stars Sneha Ullal and Nayanthara in a triple attack on the male senses that will leave many reeling.
