From what we have heard Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan are mesmerizing in their roles and their jodi as Vijay & Kaali in the upcoming Agneepath directed by Karan Malhotra. The film is a new take on the classic film and that is what drew him to the story says star Hrithik Roshan, “It’s a wonderful film and I am glad that I am a part of it. You know, initially I said no to the script. When I finally heard the script, I was taken aback because he has given Agneepath a new touch and I really liked it. And I don’t have compare both the films.” He adds, “When I heard the script, the moment he started it just seemed like a different world, it seemed like a different film and it hit me. I reacted to the story. I reacted to the emotions. I reacted to it as an actor, as a human being. I couldn’t say no after that.”

He says, “I bring an honesty to the character. Just being true to the character. It’s a journey of a human being who has been through certain experiences that instills a lot of rage in him. A desire for revenge and to vindicate himself and his family.”

Priyanka Chopra takes on the role of Kaali who according to the actress is “Vijay Dinanath Chauhan’s’ support… who will stand by him in his best & worst times!!”

The story
In a small Indian village Mandwa, Vijay Dinanath Chauhan (Hrithik Roshan) is taught by his principled father about the path of fire – AGNEEPATH. His life is completely shattered when the evil drug dealer Kancha (Sanjay Dutt) hangs his father to death. Vijay leaves for Bombay with his pregnant mother and has only one mission in life- to come back to Mandwa and bring back the glory of his father’s name.

In Bombay, 12-yr-old Vijay is taken under the wings of the city gang lord Rauf Lala (Rishi Kapoor). From then on it is a journey of revenge where he makes and breaks many relationships only to get closer to his aim. Vijay finds support only in his best friend Kaali (Priyanka Chopra), who stands by him at every moment in his life. Fifteen years later his hatred for Kancha takes him back to Mandwa where life comes full circle.

We can’t wait until January 26th to see Hrithik, Priyanka, Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor when the film hits theaters.
