Former Miss India, Amruta Pakti, who debuts in the movie Hide & Seek, which opens on March 12th, is keen to do more in Bollywood soon. “I’ve no limitations on what genres of films I would like to do as this is a learning phase,” she says, “I want to grow as an actress instead of being a celebrity and do all kinds of films like comedy, romance and serious.”
Amruta was unfazed during the making of the film when co-star Purab Kohli tries to play one of his pranks on her. “I love to play pranks but all my efforts failed,” Purab explains, “One night after we wrapped up the shoot, we all decided to scare Amruta Patki as she used to go to bed so early. In the middle of the night I started banging her door really loudly – but she didn’t budge an inch. Next morning, she said she was fast asleep and didn’t hear anything,”
Amruta recently walked the ramp at the Times of India Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2010 along with a long list of other women achievers from all walks of life including Sharon Prabhakar, Lillette Dubey, Anu Ranjan, Kiran Juneja, Resshmi Ghosh, Seema Mehrotra, Palak Sheth, Tanuja Padwal and Monica Vaziralli.
