Fans of Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone can rejoice because the two are the newest jodi getting ready to take to the silver screen. The two gorgeous stars have signed on to be part of the film Break Ke Baad. The rom-com film is going to be produced by Kunal Kohli and directed by his assistant Danish Aslam.
This is Kunal’s first film as a producer instead of director. “This would be my first film as an independent producer. I did Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, which was a co-production. So many new directors are getting opportunities that we never had when we came in.”
Imran has confirmed that he will be a part of the project on twitter writing, “I’ve just locked my next film, which is being directed by Danish Aslam. Didn’t want to talk about it until it was final.”
As the title suggests Break Ke Baad is about what happens after a couple breaks up but then want to get back together. Kunal told Subhash K Jha, “Me and my director Danish Aslam always wanted to call his film Break Ke Baad because it’s about a couple Imran and Deepika who break up and want to come together.”
The film will be set in Delhi and in Australia but since he was denied access to filming on the Gold Coast, the location shots will be done in Cape Town instead and they will, explains Kunal, “fudge the Gold Coast”.
About the new jodi Kunal says, “… I’m so glad Danish has got a dream pair. Imran and Deepika together sounds good to everyone.”
