After garnering both critical acclaim and commercial success of monster proportion, the Chak De India team of Yash Raj Films, Shimit Amin and Jaideep Sahni are back again with Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year starring the talented Ranbir Kapoor.
It is a matter of great delight that Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year has been selected in the 6th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) which is taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates between December 9th – 16th, 2009. The film is a part of the Gala Celebration of Indian Cinema section of the Out of Competition DIFF programme and was a World Premiere of the movie. The screening was scheduled on 10th December 2009 at 19:00 hrs, in Madinat Arena Cinema.
Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year is the sometimes thoughtless, sometimes thoughtful story of a fresh graduate trying to find a balance between the maddening demands of the ‘professional’ way, and the way of his heart – and stumbling upon a crazy way which turned his world upside down, and his career right side up. Welcome to the world of sales, boss!
Now in its sixth year, DIFF 2009 is held in association with Dubai Studio City and supported by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. Since its first edition in 2004, DIFF has established itself as an important cultural event in Dubai and the UAE. There has been a remarkable growth in the number of films presented and an increased interest in audience numbers. The festival has also seen a similar growth in the attendance of key international and regional filmmakers, industry professionals and members of the local, regional and international press.
Ranbir Kapoor, Shimit Amin and Jaideep Sahni were especially invited by the Dubai International Film Festival to attend the festival this year.
Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year released worldwide on 11th December 2009.
