Genelia D’Souza and Neil Nitin Mukesh dominate the newsstands for December with their electrifying cover for Filmfare magazine, confirming their status as two of the hottest new Gen-Next stars of the year. Neil looks mean and moody in a tailored black leather coat and Genelia looks stunning in a sparkling midnight blue minidress.
Neil has had three strong releases this year in New York with John Abraham and Katrina Kaif; Aa Dekhan Zara with Bips; and Jail with Mughde Godse, in which his performance (and body) are said to be remarkable. He has also dominated the festival circuit with Tere Kya Hoga Johnny. He’s now been signed up, along with Katrina Kaif and Abhishek Bachchan for the Indian remake of The Italian Job.
Genelia has had her own success this year in the Tollywood movie Sasirekha Parinayam with Tarun and in the joyful Life Partner with Govinda and Fardeen Khan. She has a quintet of good movies waiting for release – the intriguing low budget movie Katha with Arun, which is released next week; It’s My Life with Harman Baweja; Chance Pe Dance with Shahid Kapoor; Orange with Ram Charan Teja – and the delayed Hook Ya Crook with John Abraham. In addition, she’s hosting a popular reality TV show, The Big Switch, and has signed up for a Kollywood remake of her Tollywood hit Ready. It will co-star Dhanush. Then there’s 1-800-Love with John Abraham, which begins filming next year. No one could accuse Genelia of not working hard on her career!
