There was no showstopper at Salman Khan’s Fashion Show where he introduced his charity brand, Being Human. Reason? Every “model” that took to the ramp was a showstopper! The show began with a herd of children running up and down the ramp; the light dimmed and spotlight focused at the head of the ramp. It was none other than Salman Khan who kick started his show as he paraded down the ramp. This was followed by a collection of stars who surprised audiences simply because the lineup had been under wraps. The likes of Ajay Devgan, Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Govinda and the only lady of the evening, Katrina Kaif who incidentally wore a dress that was hand painted by beau Salman Khan himself. As the stars displayed Being Human clothing, the likes of Farah Khan Preity Zinta, Sushmita Sen, Amisha Patel, Amrita Arora, Twinkle Khanna, Malaika Arora Khan, Manish Malhotra, Boney Kapoor and Sridevi and cricketer Yuvraj Singh all sat on the sidelines and cheered on their friends. In complete unity the models walked the ramp at the end calling bringing down the house and the curtains.

When the media asked Twinkle Khanna her reasons for not taking center stage and abandoning the ramp, she simply responded that she was “too shy”. In fact, as Akshay Kumar walked for Salman, he looked at his wife and pointed at her who was then reminded of a particular “unbuttoning” debacle and joined her hands as he continued to walk.

Aamir Khan made his debut as a model with the show. The actor who has been in the industry for over 20 years now had never walked for any designer before but since the cause was charity, he simply couldn’t decline. However, he was “extremely nervous” and in fact wanted to “go back home”!

Kajol came out in full form to support her husband who she later claimed was the best man on the ramp. The actress also went on to state, “You cannot congratulate him [Salman Khan] for such a cause. You simply have to be human.”

And if that wasn’t enough for one night, when the show ended and the actors walked out, the Khan brothers bought with them both their mothers: Salma Khan and Helen. And in a sheer moment of “togetherness” Helen found herself kissing Salma on the head, “It was spontaneous. I didn’t know what came to my mind at that moment. But it was a very proud moment for the family and just to share that moment of togetherness, I kissed Salma on her forehead!” The mothers sat in the audience with daughter Arpita and daughter-in-law Malaika Arora Khan during the show.

Salman Khan was nothing but thrilled with the show. “It is an incredible and memorable moment for me,” he simply summarized.
