Kareena Kapoor is leaving no leaf unturned for her upcoming venture, the remake of the American hit Stepmom. The actress will star in the same frame as Kajol once again after Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum. And for her role, Kapoor is attending workshops so she can get the role and look just right. “The last time I rehearsed for a part was for Vishal Bharadwaj’s Omkara. But that was a more unconventional film and role where I had to get into a milieu and character I knew nothing about. But Stepmom is urban and very contemporary. I play a very normal metro-centric working girl,” she claims. The actress has been working closely with director Siddharth Malhotra who is determined to get it perfectly right with her role in the film.
Even though the actress is busy shooting for 3 Idiots, she manages to find spare time where she quickly scatters off to attend her workshops and is currently learning the intricacies of being a “normal girl”. And it’s not just Bebo who is working hard. Ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra is having a hard time too. The designer is finding it ultra hard to bring down the “glamour quotient’ in Bebo who is known for her otherwise glam ways.
Kareena is however; excited to work with Kajol again,”She’s always been one of my favourite actresses. We worked together in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. But this is something else.” The film starts rolling at the end of October.
