The actress may be flying high post this award season but it seems that some people are just out to burst the bubble. Who you ask? Well it’s none other than her own director Ashutosh Gowrikar who despite directing the actress in his upcoming venture What’s Your Rashee? feels that the various Best Actress awards Priyanka has been honoured with are non-deserving.

Ashutosh has taken quite a liking to making his presence felt. Earlier in the award season he had an outburst at Sajid and Farah Khan and recently he decided to publicly humiliate Priyanka on stage as she accepted her Best Actress award.

It turns out that earlier in the night he had privately told Farhan Akhtar how he felt to which the Don director replied saying that his comment was in bad taste. Unlike Farhan, Fashion director Madhur Bhandarkar decided to make a public statement about Ashutosh’s conduct.

Speaking to Mid-Day the director said, “I’m shocked by what Ashutosh had to say. We’re friends. More than us, our wives are very close friends. If he felt this way (about PC being undeserving) he should’ve shared it with me and Priyanka, not spoilt the golden moment for her on stage. Priyanka got EVERY popular award. Doesn’t that prove she deserves it?”

Despite such an unflattering occurrence on a night of celebrations, Priyanka has kept up in high spirits and didn’t let it bother her. The actress is under a lot of pleasure and continues to work hard for the toughest role till date in What’s your Rashee? and even joked about returning to the awards podium with her upcoming performance in her new film.

Farhan and Priyanka have known to have shared quite a great relationship post and during the making of Don, and of course she is Madhur Bhandarkar’s latest muse! So at the end of the with two knights in shining armour at her rescue and many more possibly gearing up, Priyanka has nothing to worry about!
