First Look of Siddharth’s Upcoming Bilingual Project

She’s been making waves since the day her debut film hit the screens. He’s been creating a buzz from the moment he stepped into the limelight in the 2006 blockbuster Rang De Basanti. In that Mahi Gill and Siddharth have much in common. Now the two hot and happening stars are ready to star together in a bilingual project to be simultaneously filmed in Hindi and Telugu.

Although not formally announced yet it is very much believed that Mahi Gill is very close to officially signing the project. The actress has been in the news since her bold portrayal of the classic role of Paro in Anurag Kashyap innovative take of the tale of Devdas.

The film is to be produced by K Raghavender Rao under the banner name of ABODE films and directed by national award winner Prakash Kovelmudi whose earlier acclaimed work includes A Bellyful of Dreams which scored him his first national award. Music is to be scored by Vishal and Shekhar.

Mahurat was held at Cinemax yesterday in which the crew spoke about the various aspects of the film. Director Prakash said that Siddharth’s versatility as an actor and the ability to essay a simple lover boy role and a dynamic role such as that in RDB was perfect for the film which required the hero to have a wide range of emotions.

Siddharth as always was very excited about this upcoming venture of his and said that initially he was skeptical to the role, however Prakash had enough confidence in him to get him to say yes. The actor also said that he feels that regional cinema is too ignored and with this film it will reach heights!

The film is touted to involve a social element as well as a fantasy base. Director Prakash said that the film’s fantasy element will be thoroughly promoted via comic books, games, memorabilia and many more avenues to ensure the fans are in the fantasty mood by the time of the release!

Well, there couldn’t have been a better actor that fans would have loved to see in a bilingual project. Fans up north have been screaming for release since Rang De Basanti and at last Siddharth won’t have to sacrifice the happiness of his Telugu fans to satisfy his Hindi audience.
