Following in the footsteps of Mallika Sherawat, Divya Dutta is making her own trek towards stardom in tinsel land. The Veer-Zaara actress, who also appeared in The Last Learand Welcome to Sajjanpur, is following up her work in Hissss with a number of other Hollywood projects.

The first of these is Fred Holmes’ Heart Land. “It would not be appropriate to divulge more details regarding the film,” she says, “But there are two more Hollywood projects in the kitty.” The film is a romantic comedy about Indians in Texas and also stars Amelia Jackson-Gray and Mehr Hassan.

The hard-working Divya currently has twelve movies lined up including Chargesheet with Jacky Shroff, Morning Walk with Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore, Monica – in which she plays a lesbian, Chaloo Movie, which sees her kick boxing and Abba Ka Kuan with Minissha Lamba and Boman Irani. She admits to enjoying all the attention she’s receiving, following her recent success with Delhi-6. “The other day when I was out for a dinner, a few students sitting at the next table send me a note that they were proud of me,” she says.

And they’re not the only ones currently feeling proud of the Punjabi actress who is taking the world by storm!
