If ever, there were two sisters that were most loved and yet most unlike one another in Hindi cinema, it was Kajol and Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum. As sisters, they were a riot and loved by audiences. Just in case you missed the sisterly-duo, you may not have to wait too long to see the actresses in the same frame together. Karan Johar is said to have signed both the actresses for his forthcoming venture. The film will be directed by debutante director Siddharth Malhotra who happens to be the grandson of the late actor Prem Nath.
According to sources, as soon as the actresses free up from their crazy pending schedules, they will allocate all their dates to the film. The film is set to be based on the 1998 Hollywood film, Stepmom which starred Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. It seems that Johar is extremely happy with his best friend Kajol whom he is directing in My Name is Khan, and the same goes for Kareena whose movie he is producing with Rensil D’Silva as the director.
Kareena, who previously had a fall out with the ace director, was unavailable for comment but her secretary did come out with, “Kareena would never say no to Karan.” Watch this space for more details as and when we get them!
