Both in terms of her spiral curves and her spiraling career, Kangana Ranaut sets her own fashion trends in Bollywood. The A-list actress, who once worked in a beauty parlour, and is now firmly planted in the heart of the industry after such recent hits as Life in A Metro, Fashion and Raaz 2 says, “I dress according to my moods. When I wear a black dress, it’s because I feel stark. At most, I’ll sit with my designer and tell him what I have in mind and we’ll come up with something.”

Kangana enjoys all types of fashion and recently enrolled in a fashion course in London. Although she finds saris a little too much to cope with sometimes, she sees herself wearing them perhaps when she’s older. She provides hope too for those who don’t feel they have a designer’s eye. “There is really no such thing as a badly dressed person, only a constantly badly dressed person,” she explains, “I love women with short-short hair who wear oversized shirts with skinny pants; women in hand-blocked kurtas and kajal. I love all kinds of clothes.”

Kangana, who recently won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for Fashion, says of her co-star Priyanka Chopra, “Priyanka is among the most hardworking people I have come across. So genuine, kind and humble.” Kangana will soon be seen in Kites with Hrithik Roshan and Mexican actress Barbara Mori.
