Two stars of the critically acclaimed film Fashion have taken home awards at the 15th annual Lions Gold Award. Mugdha Godse who played Janet, won the Best Debutant Actress Award and Arjan Bawja was named Most Promising Actor for his work in the film!
Mugdha said, “It’s a special award as its my first and its not from any film award function but from an organization made by people and for the people; and if people accept you as an actor then half the battle is won. Lions club association has been rewarding all those people from different fields from society so it makes me proud to be part of the special ones.”
Arjan was humbled and said, “There is one thing to be given award for your performance by the film fraternity but it is absolutely different to be awarded by society for the same. In the film industry you are sure that someday or the other you will receive an award for your work, but what matters most is when society recognizes your talent and awards you for the same. I am extremely happy that the Lions Club members appreciated my work and thought of me for this award and I am greatly humbled. Though I have a long way to go but I know my journey has got that extra spark now and I am on the right path.”
