‘Slumdog Millionaire’ Gets 11 BAFTA Nominations!

Following its sweep of the Golden Globes, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE bagged 11 nominations for the British Academy Film Awards, tied for the most of any film. Referred to by many as the British Oscars, the BAFTAs will be awarded in London on February 8 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

Leading Actor (Dev Patel)

This past weekend, Slumdog Millionaire opened in the United Kingdom at number 2 at the box office. In North America it has jumped from number 12 to number 5 on the charts this week after winning the Globes. The Danny Boyle-directed film releases in India next week on January 23.
