Director Vikramaditya Sonawane, who is well known for his directorial debut Udaan, has yet another great plan when it comes to his new film Lootera. The team has decided to film the troubles they faced and are coming up with a five minute documentary “Labour of Love” which will come out soon.

Motwane, who has teamed up with Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha for the project, said that the shooting of this romantic period-drama has been an emotional journey for the team. “It is the hard work and determination of the team that made this film more than anything else. A lot of people have asked us to make a full documentary after watching this five minute video. We will release it soon,” he added.

The journey of the film has been a tough one, with accidents and mishaps like Ranveer’s back injury in Dalhousie, after which the shooting schedule was in trouble as he had to be rushed back to the city on a stretcher. Following that, the weather in Dalhousie spoiled things for the crew as they had to walk through knee-deep snow.

At present, there is a debate about when to release the documentary. The team is still trying to figure out if they should release it prior to the film’s release during the promotions or with the film’s end and credits.

Lootera is set to release on July 5. It is a joint production venture of Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films.
