Anil Kapoor goes to Toronto Film Fest with a Hollywood flick

Slowly but surely, the Toronto International Film Festival is unveiling a slew of exciting films to hit the city as the festival runs from September 4th to the 14th. Though South Asia does have a limited presence at the festival, Danny Boyle’s film titled Slumdog Millionaire will be premiereing there. The film stars Dev Patel, Irrfan Khan and Anil Kapoor and marks Kapoor’s first international film which he is incredibly excited about.

The film is the story of a man who goes on the Hindi version of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” in order to maintain contac with his ladylove. It is based on the novel by Vikas Swarup, titled ‘Q&A’.

Danny Boyle earlier directed 28 Days Later which was very well received while the screenplay writer Simon Beaufoy has written The Full Monty and Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day which were also appreciated.
