Genelia D’Souza is an up-and-coming young actress who really appears to be going places — most recently Australia and Delhi, where she has been filming with Harman Baweja. Their new movie is titled It’s My Life and is a Hindi remake of Genelia’s Telegu hit Bommarillu. Harman says of the title, “We all like it, because it’s about this rich subdued boy who’s petrified of his girlfriend’s father Nana Patekar and stands for hours outside her house gathering the courage to face him. It’s all about how the boy finally takes charge of his life.”
Genelia made her first appearance in Bollywood five years ago in Tujhe Meri Kasam and will be seen opposite Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan in his debut movie Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na on the same day as Harman’s debut film Love Story 2050 is released — a big weekend in Bollywood!
How does Genelia feel about working with the great Aamir? “It’s a pleasure working with him,” she says, “Even his nephew Imraan has got his acting genes! They have completely different personalities though. Its Imraan’s first film but he is so confident, well versed since he comes from a film family and is comfortable in front of the camera unlike other newcomers.”
