The new movie Jannat is attracting a lot of attention worldwide with its allusions to the suspicions surrounding the death of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer in Jamaica on March 18th of last year. Although eventually an open verdict was returned at the inquest, the death was shrouded in mystery amidst allegations of match-fixing and gambling surrounding the 2007 World Cup.

The Mahesh Bhatt film Jannat doesn’t refer to Bob Woolmer by name but takes place amidst the same milieu of events and people should be able to spot the references.

The film has proved to be such a big hit for Sonal Chauhan, who replaced Esha Deol in the movie, that she has already been offered a role in Raaz 2, the follow-up to the Bhatt’s most successful movie so far.
