Box Office Update: Tashan opens poorly in North America

As the facts and figures begin to roll in, it’s becoming quite apparent that the not-so-great reactions to YRF’s multistarrer Tashan have translated into poor box office collections. Most expected the film to take a thunderous start Overseas considering the star power involved in the film, but numbers have another story to tell.

The opening weekend gross in North America was only $301,226 with a screen average of $4,016. Note that this opening is lower than other YRF duds including Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Ta Ra Rum Pum. In fact, it is even lower than the offbeat Kabul Express. Shocking, anyone?
