Akshay Kumar is having a banner year at the box office with the tremendous success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Heyy Babyy, and Namstey London. His next film, Welcome, is looking to be another big hit and will end his year with bang. This comedy has an all-star cast including Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Feroz Khan, and Mallika Sherawat. This is the third time we will see the perfect jodi of Katrina and Akshay in a film this year.

Akshay said, “I’m happy that the three comedies I did this year had the box-office laughing. Welcome is the king of them all! It’s a laughter-riot from the word go and I hope everyone enjoys it during the festive season as it is my last major comedy of 2007!”

Akshay is a very versatile actor who has given audiences great performances in both the action and comedy genres. “Earlier, everyone said my name is synonymous with action. And that’s how I bagged the title Khiladi. Now with my last few films being successful comedies, my name is associated with comedies,” he said.

So next in the pipeline will it be a comedy or an action flick? “Comedy comes as naturally to me as action movies! Next year I have a variety of films on the anvil. But I am getting back to action with Chandni Chowk To China and Tashan. But for now I want everyone to come and see my last comedy of the year Welcome. Please welcome the New Year with Welcome, it will bring a smile on your face!”

Be sure to check out Welcome when it releases in theaters on December 21st!
