The Green People of India (TGPI) are absolutely overjoyed, thrilled and tickled pink that John Abraham has decided to join in and become an enthusiastic, unconditional supporter of The Green People Festival! Barely half a year old, we had all come together for the first time in June this year to launch our flagship event The Green People Festival at The Vintage Garden (Bandra) Mumbai. Back then, we managed to win over our very first star ally – Kalki Koechlin who joined in to support The Green People of India enthusiastically! Like Kalki, John too was given a traditional TGPI family welcome with a GREEN PEOPLE GOODIES BOX. To celebrate the generous support of our ‘Star Green People’ everyone sends ‘green goodies’ from different corners of India and we put it all together in a re-cycled mango peti (which seems to have become the TGPI mascot!). Having John on board is yet another ‘natural’ alliance as he himself hails from a family of award-winning visionary green Architects.

‘The Green People of India is a very innovative concept. People from different locations across India are coming together for The Green People Festival and I think everyone should join in this celebration of green living and initiatives that work towards the ecologically sustainable development of India’ said John.

And we received yet another boost to our cause from the Birla family who very generously agreed to host the second edition of The Green People Festival at their beautiful, sea facing bungalow in Juhu – Birla House – which will soon after convert into The Birla Wellness Center, a med spa based on the principles of Ayurveda. Lush green gradens of the Birla House will serve as a backdrop for all shades of GREEN LIVING in this nine day long ‘green fair & fiesta’. So mark your calendar!

Dates: 25 October to 2 November.
