Talking about Anurag being on the jury, Melita Toscan du Plantier, the festival head said in a release, “Last year, I organised for Martin Scorsese to receive Anurag’s film Gangs Of Wasseypur post which he wrote to him saying how he loved it, but they never met. So, when I proposed to Martin to have one member of jury from India this year and suggested Anurag’s name, he said yes right away.”

While Anurag has attended the Marrakech festival in the past and last year with wife Kalki for celebrating Indian cinema’s centenary, this is the first time he will be part of the festival jury. The festival is slated to take place from November 29 to December 7.
