According to this year’s Euro RSCG Bollywood Predictameter, the film that will be the surprise hit of the year will be Darling starring Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol and Ishaa Koppikar.

Upon hearing the news Ishaa Koppikar was ecstatic, “Wow! Great!” Her role in Darling is a new one for her; she plays a housewife who is fighting for her husband Fardeen Khan, against a sexy ghost played by Esha Deol.

About the role being a departure for her she says, “I’d love to play different roles. I hate being monotonous, predictable. Right from the beginning I’ve done different things — Girlfriend, Don, Shabari — which will be out in a couple of months. Now Har Pal.”

Koppikar is very busy these days; she is currently shooting for Har Pal, which stars Preity Zinta and Shiney Ahuja. She is also very excited about Hello saying,” It’s so real now — the stress that bogs down your personal life and the frustrations that we take out at work. This kind of movie is so relevant today — look at Life in a… Metro. Multiplex movies are doing very well.” The dancing queen is still of course dancing and is doing a number in Hello. “Oh, I’m dancing anyway, most of the time. In Hello, it’s to a Sunidhi Chauhan-Daler Mehendi tune that is bound to rock the discos,” added Koppikar

Will she be in Don 2? “Everyone says Farhan Akhtar is making Don 2 except Farhan Akhtar,” she answered laughingly.

She wishes she was cast in Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag and said, “I would have loved to have played Basanti’s role. But Ramu thought I didn’t suit the role and took someone else. He’s the filmmaker, it’s his vision, his preference after all.”

Speaking of Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, that film along with Om Shanti Om, Saawariyan and Aaja Nachle did not fare as well on the Bollywood Predictameter. According to it, these highly anticipated films are going to disappoint at the box office.

It will be very interesting to see how these predictions fare and we cannot wait to see all of these movies.

We wish Koppikar success in Darling and all her upcoming projects!
