Composer, singer and actor Himesh Reshammiya is getting ready to don the acting avatar once again in his new film The Xpose. Set to go to the floors in January and Directed by National Award winner Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, The Xpose is a murder suspense musical thriller set in the late 1960s.

A source told BH, “The characters in that era were truly larger than life and the glamour industry was going through the biggest change when the first sex symbol of the film industry was introduced in this era.”
Himesh will play a suspended cop-turned-music-superstar, a character apparently inspired by yesteryear actor Raajkumar.

What is also interesting is that rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is trying out his acting chops in the film and will play the villain of the piece!

And if that was not enough, add to that that Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh are also going to be collaborating for the music of the film.

Along with Himesh and Yo Yo Honey Singh, the film will also feature Adil Hussain and Sabyasachi Chakraborty as well as Irrfan Khan in a special appearance.

Of course it would not be a Bollywood film and especially one set in the 60s and not have a heroine and this one has two. Though casting has not been announced as yet, the characters are said to be based on Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi.

Himesh apparently lost 12 kilos for the role in the film and we have your first look at the new Himesh avatar!
