After Rang De Basanti, we haven’t had the opportunity to see the super-talented Siddharth display his acting prowess in another Bollywood film. The good news is that the wait may finally be over!
The hugely popular South star has been roped in by Rakeysh Mehra to play the lead in his next film ‘Dilli 6’. The film is apparently based on the mysterious ‘Monkey Man’ incident that swept New Delhi in 2001. Reports stated that a four-foot tall ‘Monkey Man’ with thick hair, a metal helmet and glowing red eyes would surface late at night and viciously attack people, even leaving them with cuts and bruises.
It may be noted that before Siddharth was finalized for this project, Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan were considered for the same role. However, they opted out for unknown reasons. (Perhaps, date problems?) The female lead has still not been revealed although it seems that talks are on with Vidya Balan.
This film does sound rather interesting and intriguing and it looks like Siddharth has struck gold once again! Let’s wait and watch!
