07april shweta nanda ritu Shweta Nanda: Wanted By Rituparno GhoshThe brilliant director and writer has worked with all Bachchans including the to-be Bachchan-bahu, Aishwarya Rai. Still, he feels he needs more!

After working with Jaya, Abhishek, Aishwarya and Amitabh Rituaparno Ghosh now wants to cast the daughter of the family, Shweta Nanda, in a project.

When talking to IANS Rituparno Ghosh said that he wasn’t sure if Shweta would agree to the project but he found Shweta’s face and body language very interesting after having seen her on television. He also added that he intended to approach Shweta soon.

Unlike the rest of her family, Shweta is not in the cinematic spotlight. Recently, she appeared on television for the first time as the host of “Next Gen”, a new talk show on NDTV Profit.

Rituparno Ghosh has worked with Abhishek in Anatarmahal, Jaya Bachchan in Sunglass and Amitabh Bachchan in The Last Lear.

Ghosh claims that he casts the actors based on how appropriate they are for the roles, not because they are from the Bachchan family.

Not just on a professional level, but Rituparno Ghosh seems to be a close friend of the family. Recently, he went jewellery shopping for Aishwarya with Jaya Bachchan in Kolkota. Most suprising of all was that Aishwarya’s sizing was already with the cinematic maestro since he worked with Ash in Chokher Bali where he had to order jewellery for her.

“It was like revisting my art through a situation in which my heroine jumped out of screen and into the same real life situation,” he commented.

The media is eagerly waiting to see if Ghosh is able to convince the final Bachchan he is yet to work with.

One thing for sure is that the announcement won’t be made anytime soon, as the Bachchan family is extremely busy with the preparation of the grand wedding this week!
