14apr_Shraddha-EkVillainBy launching Atif Aslam into the world of Bollywood, the Bhatts and director Mohit Suri opened the doors for accomplished and ambitious Pakistani artistes to become a part of the Indian music scene.

Mustafa Zahid, the lead vocalist of the Lahore-based Roxen band, became a Bhatt favorite, as he rendered hit numbers for Awarapan, Blood Money and Aashiqui-2. Subsequently, Balaji used his golden voice in Shootout at Wadala and Ragini MMS-2. Both Suri and Balaji, who are coming together on the keenly awaited Ek Villain, have continued the tryst with Pakistan, by getting Mustafa to render the ‘Zaroorat’ track in Ek Villain. Picturised on Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor, and composed and written by Mithoon, ‘Zaroorat’ is expected to release online on May 29.

If this wasn’t enough, Suri has introduced a Pakistani band, Soch, to compose and render a track called ‘Awari’ in Ek Villain. Composed, rendered and written by Adnan Dhuul and Rabbi Ahmed, the romantic rock number, to be shot in Mumbai later this week, will additionally feature the vocals of a fresh young voice Momina Mustehsan, who is originally from Lahore, but based in the US.

With ‘Galliyan’ and ‘Banjaara’ already emerging hits in no time, all eyes are on ‘Zaroorat’ and ‘Awari’. Needless to mention, being a Mohit Suri album, a chart-buster status is no surprise.

Confirms Tanuj Garg, CEO – Balaji Motion Pictures, “Much like Mohit’s previous albums, Ek Villain is an outstanding ensemble of mood, instrument and sound. Its strength lies in its diversity and simplicity. The tracks are soaked in romance and carry immortal appeal and value.”
