14may_rajkummarraoNational Award winning actor Rajkummar Rao has spoken about the countless film offers he has been receiving following his acclaimed performance in Hansal Mehta’s biographical film Shahid (2013). However, the 29 year old has said that he will only sign up to a script if it appeals to him, as opposed to choosing something that is commercial in tone.“I was getting lot of offers after Kai Po Che. Earlier, I was getting 20 offers, now I am getting 30-40 offers a month,” said Rajkummar. “There are more options for me to choose from. But it does get difficult. Tough to say yes and no for a project. If a script excites me and challenges me as an actor then only I say yes to it.”

Rajkummar also spoke about how he would rather do a film which he will be remembered for and therefore studies the script intensely to see if it moves him, be it from a big or small banner. “I want to associate myself with films that are good,” explained the 29-year-old. “Something that people will remember me for. I don’t look if the film comes from a small or a big banner; the script has to move me.”

Rajkummar’s next film is Citylights, a drama directed by Hansal Mehta which releases on 30 May!
