Saturday evening, patrons at a local mall in Mumbai suburbs were in for a musical treat as cast and crew of Shor in the City gathered to make some serious noise at a mini music concert organised as part of the film’s promotional activities. Shor In The City slated to release on 28th April 2011, the film which has been screened at many prestigious film festivals has been garnering rave reviews for its music and promos. Starring Tusshar Kapoor, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Nikhil Dwivedi, Pitobash Tripathi, Sundeep Kishan, Girija Oak, Preeti Desai, Radhika Apte and Amit Mistry in the lead roles, the film is directed by Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures.

Basking in their new-found albeit very well-deserved accolades for super-hit music composition of film FALTU, duo Sachin-Jigar, music directors for Shor in the City, acknowledged the audience for appreciating their word and entertained the crowd with hit numbers from Faltu as well as Shor in the City. Joining them on stage, lyricist Priya Panchal crooned to the racy chartbuster track ‘Karma is a bitch’ and getting the spectators to sing along. Camera flashes went into a tizzy when Tusshar, Preeti, Sundeep and Pitobash made an entrance and headed straight to the podium to join their music team. The audience called for and encore more and so a few more numbers were belted out, this time round with the cast tapping their feet and swaying as well.

While the rest of the cast involved in photo-calls and group bytes, we were lucky to grab the attention of debutant Sundeep Kishan, who was amiable to exclusively chat with us and share his excitement, which was quite apparent in his demeanor. Known better for his Telugu hit ‘Prasthanam’, Sundeep fervently spoke about his upcoming Bollywood debut asserting the honesty of the film as its strongest USP’s and the best reason to watch it. Talking about his transition to Bollywood, he stated that it was good fun, apart from the language; it was brilliant that he had the chance to work with passionate filmmakers. He was quick to add that the audiences would be much bigger; he hoped they will accept and like him. ‘More the better’ was his parting shot as he confessed to wanting to do as much work as possible irrespective of which industry that he belonged to.
