Time Magazine is once again holding a poll with nominees for the Time 100, which is a list of the most influential people in the world. Encompassing people from all walks of life and countries the poll asks you to “Cast your votes for the leaders, artists, innovators, icons and heroes that you think are the most influential people in the world. The winner will be included in the TIME 100.”

One of Hindi cinemas own, Aamir Khan, has been included in the list of 204 nominees on the poll. His entry reads, “Aamir Khan started out in Bollywood as a handsome, likable star from a family of film producers. While still at the peak of his career as an actor, he has successfully reinvented himself as a producer, encouraging out-of-the-box movies. In 2009, he starred in and co-produced Bollywood’s biggest-ever commercial hit, 3 Idiots, and last year he produced the critically acclaimed Peepli Live, a satire on farmer suicides that made a profit without any top stars.”

Aamir is the only Indian actor to be included in the nominees for the 2011 list. In the 2010 poll both Sachin Tendulkar and Chetan Bhagat were included in the poll’s nominees. Voting ends for the 2011 poll on April 14th.
