15jun_anushkasultanBollywood star Anushka Sharma is reportedly out of the race in the hunt for the female lead role in the forthcoming Salman Khan starrer Sultan. The action drama, which is being produced by Yash Raj Films, will commence shooting in the autumn and will be wrapped up in time for a Eid 2016 release. Anushka is one of YRF’s favourite actresses, with whom she made her Bollywood debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008) opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Hence, the 27 year old was being strongly considered for the female lead role in Sultan.

However, it appears that Anushka is now out of the race for this much-desired role. This is because of scheduling conflicts, as she has already given dates to Karan Johar for his forthcoming directorial venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. She has already signed a contract and is therefore committed to the project and the dates which Karan wants in order to shoot for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. She will be seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the forthcoming romantic drama.

Looks like the hunt for the female lead in Sultan continues. Stay tuned as we will update you as soon as we get the scoop on this much anticipated film!
