Asin, who hit the big time recently with Ghajini, has won another award for her role in the Tamil film Dasavatharam, opposite Kamal Hassan. She has been chosen as Best Actress at the Singapore-based International Tamil Film Awards (ITFA) and will receive her award at a special ceremony on May 16th. The Hindi version of the movie Dashavatar is now also ready for release. Asin has a double-role in the movie and Mallika Sherawat can also be seen.

Asin’s next movie is London Dreams with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. She confirms that she enjoys working with Salman but rumours that their relationship runs deeper than that are untrue. “Salman is a very nice colleague and I have learnt the art of ignoring rumours from him. He was laughing off the story which had linked us up together. I don’t even have a boyfriend, and I’m not dating anybody. I hope people get this! For me, my career is my priority now.”

Following London Dreams, the much-in-demand young actress moves on to The 19th Step, an Indo-Japanese project which sees her linking up once again with Kamal Hassan and the stunning Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano, who played Genghis Khan in Sergei Bodrov’s exceptional movie Mongol. “The film has the dream team of AR Rahman composing the music and Resul Pookutty is in charge of sound,” said Asin, “I can’t expect it to be any bigger.”
