Produced under the Yash Raj banner, Aurangzeb is one of those films that expose the darker side of the Gurgaon and the National Capital Region. The movie depicts how the nexus of the corporate houses and politicians take corruption to a whole new level. It takes a lot of guts and audacity to present the tug of war of a real estate arena to the celluloid. I must say that Atul Sabharwal to that extent has done quite a good job. Read on to find out more!

ACP Arya (Prithhviraj Sukumaran) is from a Family of Cops and follows his paternal uncle (and godfather) Ravikant (Rishi Kapoor). Ravikant raises Arya as his own son and has a very happy family in the form of his son Dev (Sikander), who is also a cop, his wife (Deepti Naval) and a daughter who is also the wife of a policeman.

Arya approaches Ravikant for help for a clean chit to his late father (Anupam Kher), who was killed in an encounter. The last thing that Arya’s father tells his son is about his second wife and son Vishal (Arjun Kapoor). His father’s words being etched in his mind, Arya sets out with Ravikant to do justice to his step-mother Veera (Tanvi Azmi) and brother Vishal.

In a parallel world, Yashwardhan (Jackie Shroff) is a gangster who has an empire of real estate in the National Capital Region. He is teamed up with Neena (Amrita Singh), who is his fling and partner in crime. Yashwardhan’s son Ajay (Arjun Kapoor again!), who is totally insensitive towards emotions and the realities of life has seen a very wealthy life. Ritu (Saseh Agha), is one girl who is blindly in love with Ajay and puts up with his abuse. What follows is a happenstance of the twins when they find their lives tangled by the cops.

Prithviraj, the Malayalee sensation has made a good comeback after his sloppy start in Aiyya. Kudos to his Hindi and the man himself, who has what it takes to be one of the most successful rookies of the industry. Prithviraj is one such person in the movie who has lived his character quite superbly.

Arjun Kapoor as Vishal and Ajay has done well, while Rishi Kapoor comes across us as an actor par excellence who can still deliver a product so flawless. Saseh Agha does get bold and intimate in some scenes in the film, but has to have some substance. There are times in the movie when she gets very annoying with very little or no acting.

Dialogues are apt and well timed in the movie. Cinematography by Kartik Ganesh is quite laudable and makes the movie really interesting. The movie does live up to its name and fame until before the climax which is totally predictable. We’re all told Aurangzeb proclaimed that ‘kinship shouldn’t come in the way of kingship.’, which the climax of the movie does support.

In the end, we will go with 2.5 for Atul Sabharwal’s Aurangzeb

With the platform already set by producer Vikram Bhatt’s Haunted 3D in 2011, it looked easy for Karishma Kapoor, who planned her comeback to Hindi cinema after a long hiatus of nine years, to make her return an impressive one. However, Lolo’s fans are going to be everything but entertained in her reincarnation attempt in the world of Bollywood with BVG Films and Dar Motion Pictures’ Dangerous Ishhq. Seemingly, the fact that this movie stars Karishma who was a hit in the late 90s and the early 2000’s has been taken for granted by the film maker who has turned a blind eye towards the story line.

Produced by Arun Rangachari and directed by Vikram Bhatt, Dangerous Ishhq is a woman centric story (second in a row after Vikram Bhatt’s Hate Story) where the protagonist dies several times during the course of the movie in a bid to get united with her lover.

Sanjana Saxena (Karisma Kapur) is a supermodel and she and her beau Rohan Thakral (Rajneesh Duggal) who is a scion of a wealthy business family are the talk of the town. They get engaged and are soon to be married. All is well, until Rohan gets kidnapped and then Sanjana’s world is torn apart.

When she witnesses some of her moments in her past life with Rohan, she realizes that the only way she can save her boyfriend is by unraveling the facts of her past life and hence opts for past life regression. ACP Bhargav Singh (Jimmy Shergill) is assigned the task of finding Rohan Thakral and has to depend on Sanjana’s instincts to save Rohan. Sanjana doesn’t waste time in going to the therapist and attends a series of past life regression sessions and travels across three life times as Geeta, Salma and Paro. Conveniently, poor Rohan gets is either seized or slain in her every birth by her other obsessive lover and Sanjana realizes that her current birth is her last chance to rewrite her fate. What follows in the movie is the time travel phenomena of Sanjana Saxena over a period of five long centuries.

Can Sanjana save Rohan?

What exactly happened in her past lives that are so connected with Rohan’s abduction?

The movie goes on to answer these questions.

Kudos to Vikram Bhatt for simplifying such a complex concept like past life regression with the right clarity. The transition between the past and the current lives were done smoothly and without wasting anytime. The movie contains an element of suspense at regular intervals which keeps the viewer’s hooked on to it. Though, Bhatt has proved that he definitely has a good grasp over the subject of regression, the biggest loop hole in the overall product is the way the story was woven by Amin Hajee where the antagonist takes not one or two but five hundred years to know how to succeed. The movie’s central idea about how past life regression is never persuasively carried.

Lolo has put her best and has earnestly worked in trying to make a perfect comeback. It is a pleasure to watch her context switch between different roles in different eras with such ease. Rajneesh Duggal does a decent job, though he maintained the same expression for most of the time in the movie. Jimmy Shergill does well with his immaculate act. Divya Dutta and Ravi Kisan, as usual are show stealers but have limited scope. Ruslaan Mumtaaz looks totally out of place and Aarya Babbar and Gracy Singh do their part well.

Dangerous Ishhq is Vikram Bhatt’s second attempt at past life regression after a film titled Phirr, which was based on the same concept. However, this time around, Bhatt has a solid command over the subject and does not leave any ambiguity or loop holes in the topic of past life regression. Himesh Reshammiya’s music in this movie has no likely hood of becoming a smash hit and the background score by Raju Singh does not support the movie well. Dialogues by Girish Dhamija are perhaps the most disappointing in this film. Praveen Bhatt’s cinematography is remarkable at places albeit the fact that the movie abuses the third dimension completely. The 3D quality being very low at some places has dented the overall charm of the movie. Kuldip Mehan’s editing is decent.

Overall, Dangerous Ishhq is a good act by Karisma Kapoor with good direction and some intelligent editing. Aspiring but seriously blemished, it fails to live up to its hype due to the poor story, impact less dialogues and music.

Ash not a part of it." width="207" height="300" />If all goes well, the concluding part of the Sarkar saga would hit the floors in October, 2012. The initial feeler that Sarkar 3 was on the cards was let out by Ramu himself on the sets of Bhoot 2 in Pali Hill, Bandra where he announced, “Sarkar 3 will go on floors this October. The script is almost ready.”

Speculations were rife about the Bachchan bahu making a comeback into films with this last installment of the Sarkar trilogy, which is believed to be Ram Gopal Varma’s tribute to Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather series. Ash, who was on a sabbatical during her maternity was rumored to make her grand comeback with Sarkar 3. The buzz is now out that Ash might return to Hindi cinema with either King Khan or John Abraham in the movie Happy Birthday. It was also heard that she might be doing Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani with SRK. According to our sources, Ramu has confirmed that Big B and Junior B will be a part of Sarkar 3. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen playing the same grim character of Subhash Nagre this time too. “Sarkar 3 is being planned… Amitji and Abhishek will feature in it but contrary two reports Aishwarya won’t be in it… Script is still under progress,” tweeted Varma.

Sarkar Raj, which was a second in the series and had seen the Bachchan triad in the limelight, had taken many of the critics by surprise when it made it to the top ten movies in the UK during its release. Sarkar Raj had received a very lukewarm response in comparison to Sarkar which was a box office hit. All said and done, the million dollar question was who would play the role of ‘Chikoo’ (grandson of Sarkar). According to the sources, Ranbir Kapoor was offered to play Chikoo which to everyone’s surprise, turned down. It would now be none other than Hrithik Roshan who would be sharing the screen space with Big B. “It would be nice to see Hrithik Roshan play the role of Chikoo and more interesting will be the Ram Gopal Varma’s combination with Hrithik. That’ll be an exciting watch”, says Abhishek Bachchan.

So, who would take over the Subhash Nagre’s legacy? What would Junior Bachchan have in store for us in the final installment of the trilogy? Only time will tell.

Even before the movie hit the theatres, Vikram Bhatt’s Hate Story had created a lot of hubbub in the social media with blatant sexuality in its promotional videos and trailers. Apparently, the distribution rights were picked up almost instantly, following the impact that the promotion created. Producer Vikram Bhatt, with the PR agency of the film has seemingly done everything to tag his latest flick as an erotic thriller with titillating bare back posters and trailers which contained the movie’s most raunchy scenes. Albeit the fact that the movie has a lot of love making scenes, it fails to live up to the hype it created during its promotions. For all those people who are wondering if this movie can be one of their morning show options NO is the answer.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, Hate Story is a chronicle of abhors and vengeance where the protagonist seeks revenge and uses her sexuality as a lethal weapon to settle her scores with the one man, who brutally scarred both her personal and professional lives. The story revolves around the transition of Kaavya Krishna (Paoli Dam) from being a journalist to a sex worker. Set in the city of Delhi, the movie starts with a young journalist, Kaavya who tag teams with her friend cum photographer Vicky (Nikhil Dwivedi) to conduct a sting operation, exposes a multi-crore scam involving the CEO of a cement manufacturing giant and a judge. This bust strikes the company head Siddharth Dhanrajgir ‘Sid’ (Gulshan Devaiya) like a lightning and his father Kumar Dhanrajgir (Saurabh Dubey). Kumar Dhanrajgir, who is a ruthless businessman, gives his son 12 hours to fix things. The ever vindictive and egomaniac Siddharth, seeks vengeance against Kaavya for this defamation and lures her into a lucrative job offer with perks like a flat and a chauffeur driver car. Kaavya falls for it and gets over excited with this pleasant turn of events and accepts the offer. Sky is the limit for Kaavya Krishna, who also helps Siddharth bag a big cement contract. Siddharth, as a token of appreciation, presents her a ring and an expensive watch. To celebrate their contract win, Siddharth takes Kaavya out for a dinner and eventually to bed.

The following day, Kaavya finds herself fired from the company and realizes that it was Siddharth’s plan all the way along as a payback to the sting operation she conducted. To add insult to the injury, when Kaavya informs Siddharth that she is pregnant and is carrying his child, Siddharth has Kaavya kidnapped and gets her abortion done forcefully and makes sure that she would never be able to conceive again in her life. Kaavya’s family relocates to a different city to escape this trauma and Kaavya is ostracized by everyone except her friend Vicky who secretly loves her.

It is now Kaavya’s turn to seek revenge and for some reason, she finds that the only way to hit back Siddharth is through the oldest profession of the world – Prostitution. Kaavya lands up at one of the brothels and meets Delhi’s most famous whore and demands seduction classes from her. Kaavya goes on to become the most famous whore of Delhi and beds every man who she thinks can help her in destroying Siddharth’s company and life ‘brick by brick’ as coins the phrase. She does become successful in her plot by finding out secrets about Siddharth’s company by sleeping with the company’s CEO (Joy Sengupta). She then plays a double game ensuring that Siddharth’s company wins a deal that will entail losses to the company and also finds her way into the company’s board – courtesy the chief minister (Mohan Kapoor) with whom she barters her body for the post of directorship in a public sector bank.

Kumar Dhanrajgir asks his son, Siddharth to clean up the mess or lose control of the company to his brother. What follows in the movie is the cat and mouse game between Siddharth and Kaavya. Who will have the last laugh? Can Kaavya expose the fraudster Siddharth and get her revenge? Will Kaavya, who has compromised on her moral grounds ever be able to lead a normal life? These are the questions that the movie answers in the second half.

Movies made with such audacity are bound to have severe reactions and get involved in controversies. While the vengeance aspect of the movie keeps the viewers to their seats till the end, the way Kaavya puts her plan into execution is very unrealistic and unconvincing. All the men from the upper echelons of society, be it the politician or the CEO in Siddharth’s company, are all shown to fall prey to Kaavya’s seduction a bit too easily. At times, it is not even a few seconds before the men are ready to make out with her in the rains or Jacuzzis and bath tubs filled with rose petals, which goes a bit too overboard. A question that every viewer would ask at the end of the movie is the reason why Kaavya resorted to only sexuality when she could have used other skills to investigate and expose the scams that Siddharth was involved in.

Certain dialogues in the movie like ‘Shake it, Take it and then Fake it’ a golden rule as quoted by the cleavage popping top notch whore of Delhi, Bhairavi, with the liberal usage of the four letter word make the overall dialogues in the movie less impactful. There is a time in the movie when the phrase ‘I f*** those who f*** with me’, re-iterated by Kaavya and Siddharth gets on to your nerves.

Sadly, due to a weak script, the film has turned out to be an ordinary vengeance story. Whilst the PR agency of the movie would have wanted to have this one tagged as an erotica of 2012, all Hate Story has in store as a part of its sex quotient is a lot of moaning, groaning, grunting, puffing and sighing. Having said that, I would want to give due credit to Vivek Agnihotri, who except for a couple of intervals has managed to keep the pace well throughout the movie, which is crucial for any thriller flick. Amar Mohile’s background score is commendable and the song ‘Dil kaanch sa todeyaan’ does stay lingering into the viewer’s mind when they leave the cinema hall. Harshit Saxena’s music composition and Kumaar’s lyrics are decent. Attar Singh Saini’s cinematography is good, while editing is Satyajeet Gazmer is crisp.

Cast in a complicated character, Paoli Dam does a confident and a bold debut in Bollywood with Hate Story. Nikhil Dwivedi has very little to offer in the script and is perhaps the only decent man in the entire movie. Mohan Kapoor and Joy Sengupta are ordinary in their roles. Gulshan Devaiya does create an impression with his role as Siddharth who stammers in front of his father. Iravati Harshe does ok in her cameo and the others offer ordinary support. A weak script and an overall weak acting in the movie is what have stopped the movie from creating an erotic impact.

Bollywood sex icon, Mallika Sherawat, who has been known for her sizzling item numbers is back with a bang in Priyadarshan’s upcoming action thriller flick Tezz. The B-town diva has given some dazzling performances in the past with item numbers like Maiyya Maiyya and Jalebi Bai. However, the inclusion of her latest item number Laila in the movie has not gone too well with the director since he feels that it is not required to be a part of the movie and was supposed to be just a promotional stunt.

“I never wanted the item song in the film but the producers (Ratan Jain of Venus) said we are a musical company and hence it came in the film. They went ahead with it and producers naturally are always right as they spend money all the time. I did not want to do it, so they shot it without me, but that is fine,” Priyadarshan said in an exclusive interview. “The song in Tezz is not needed. It is placed without any connection. But such things they do for promotions and that is what they mean. Tezz is not a musical film, it is an action film, so they feel item songs and all are important for promotion. I don’t know whether they are right or me,” he said.

Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and composed by music duo Sajid-Wajid, Laila was showcased by the production unit in their promotional campaign where Mallika was seen shaking her booty in a copper outfit. Apparently, Sameera Reddy and Jiah Khan were the serious contenders for this song before Mallika was roped in.

The film maker persisted that he is not against such item numbers, but argues that there needs a reason for it to be a part of the movie. “I am basically against item songs, which are put in the film without any reason. I have also shot item numbers, but only when it is needed. It should go with the film and it should not stand separately without any connection with the movie,” he said.

Tezz in many ways is very important for Priyan since this is the first time he has puttered into the action-thriller genre. Priyadarshan, otherwise known for his comic flicks, has made a lot of South and Hindi movies and is also the recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri and the National award. “I made a thriller because this is something I have never done before. And that is basically because I believe in all kind of cinema. I know I took some time to make a thriller but it never struck me. But I really wanted to do a thriller like Hollywood style. And to make a thriller of Hollywood stature requires good budget, right subject and now everything came in place. That is why I did it. I was very happy when Ramu (Ram Gopal Varma) said I am seeing a Hindi film which looks like an English film, so it is a good compliment coming from my competitor-colleague,” he added.

The film did take its own sweet time to be completed and has undergone a couple of changes in its release calendar before it was announced that it hits the screens on April 27th. “There was a delay because we had so much graphic work and other technical things to do. I never took so much of time in my whole career to make a film. But this film took almost one-and-half-year, there were lot of difficulties. The action was difficult, then we were working with a foreign crew…so we had two teams, they are too slow to work and we are too fast. But it was a great experience. I could learn many things from them,” Priyadarshan said. The men behind the action sequences are none other than Gareth Milne and Peter Pedrero, who orchestrated the stunts of the Harry Potter saga.

When asked about if he had thought of making the film in 3D, Priyan said, “No, I don’t think Tezz demands to be made in 3D. It is a fast pace action-thriller. Even in Hollywood they don’t make all films in 3D. They make only those which they feel will get right impact. Tezz is not a right film. The thought of making or converting some portions of the film in 3D never came to my mind. When a film is fast paced, the effect of 3D does not go with it.”

One of the Bollywood’s greatest luminaries ever, Amitabh Bachchan, will be seen shaking a leg in director Ram Gopal Varma’s forthcoming flick Department. The Shahenshah of Bollywood, who is considered to be the most influential and the greatest actor in the history of Indian cinema, has gained fame for his signature dance moves in hit numbers like Kajra Re (Bunty aur Babli) and Chali Chali (Baghban).

Department, which is Ramu’s comeback to the world of the underworld, crime and guns is an ensemble of cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Sanjay Dutt, Lakshmi Manchu, Anjana Sukhani & Madhushalini. The movie is a story of a power struggle within the police department.

Anjana Sukhani was flabbergasted to see Big B’s incredible energy level during the shoot of the dance. Anjana, who was last seen with Mr. Bachchan in a Cadbury Dairy Milk Commercial said, “There is a situational song where Mr. Bachchan is dancing for me and Rana’s (Rana Daggubati) wedding. The wedding dance song is called ‘Kammo’ and is sung by Mika”.

“The song was picturised before Mr. Bachchan’s surgery (in February). It’s a fun song choreographed by Shabina Khan. The amount of energy that Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt carry with them is commendable. It is so encouraging,” she added.

Big B will be seen dancing with abandon to Sanju Baba who also does his part playing the dholak in the song. The two of them dance in a full street ishtyle on the streets of Mumbai as a part of the baraat during Anjana & Rana’s wedding ceremony. It looks like the two acclaimed legends of the industry, Big B & Sanju Baba, will be seen in their most raw and deadly avatars ever seen.

Composed by Bappi Lahiri, Kammo is sung by highly acclaimed punjabi singer Mika Singh & Sudesh Bhosle. Directed and produced by Ram Gopal Varma, Department is slated to release on May 12.

“Moshun pakadna zaroori hai, moshun”

Yes, that’s the sole motto that Bittoo Boss, V.D.O. Shooter has for the audience in Supavitra Babul’s latest flick Bittoo Boss. Set in the heart of Punjab in a place called Anantpur, Wide Frame Pictures and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ Bittoo Boss is a story of a small town wedding videographer Bittoo (Pulkit Samrat) who earns a living from video shooting wedding ceremonies. What makes him stand out from the others in his line of business is the way he crafts the wedding videos ensuring complete involvement of all the amusing kin in a wedding.

Bittoo is definitely not a prototypical videographer and he makes it a point to include the kattos (wannabe dulhans) of the house for a special photo shoot. He takes complete pride in what he does and goes out of the way to capture those sesky <(sexy as he pronounces) moments in the weddings. Bittoo is so popular in his town for his work that fathers have postponed their daughter's marriage just because Bittoo didn't have time to cover the ceremony. None of the marriages really start until they have the real star of the event, Bittoo.

The first section of the movie is mainly focused on how Bittoo does his best as a videographer and never goes out of stock on the naach gaanas. Outside of the marriage, Bittoo has his own world with Vermaji (Rajender Sethi) who edits the marriage videos shot by Bittoo and his father who always moral policies him from inside his house. Vermaji, throughout the movie, tries to make Bittoo understand that one has to take short cuts in life in order to be sucessful. He tries to lure Bittoo into shooting of honeymoon videos rather than the wedding videos which would make him rich overnight. Bittoo, on the other hand, on moral grounds, is a firm believer that emotions and people’s happiness are his real earnings and is proud of what he does. All goes well, until Bittoo gets a taste of love at first sight when he sees Mrinalini (Amita Pathak) in a wedding.

Post the marriage, Bittoo tries to pursue Mrinalini and succeeds in spending some time with her. It’s not far until Bittoo lands up at her place unannounced to deliver his DVD that he shot during the marriage. Mrinalini thinks that Bittoo has started stalking her and insults him. When she realises her fault, she decides to make it up to him by taking him to meet Aditya, the head of Sypsy channel to help Bittoo get a job there and a break in the industry. When the tv channel head abuses and insults Bittoo by calling him a Sadak Chaap and a Do Kaudi ka tuchcha cameraman, Bittoo loses his nerve and engages in a heated argument with him and storms out of the office. What follows next is an ugly argument between Bittoo and Mrinalini where she challenges him to make money and become a bada aadmi.

Having heard enough, Bittoo decides to consider Vermaji’s proposal of shooting ‘billu films‘ which gives the movie a fresh start in the second half. Bittoo travels to Palika Bazaar and lands up in the honeymooner’s paradise Simla, where he plants hidden cameras in hotel rooms hoping to record his first ever ‘billu film‘. He is assisted by Vicky (Ashok Pathak) who attaches himself as an apprentice and becomes a partner in crime. Vicky is mesmerized and overwhelmed by Bittoo’s idea of shooting honeymoon videos and making money and decides to be his emissary.

Will Bittoo shoot a blue film and compromise on his moral grounds? Will he become a big man? The movie goes on to answer these questions in the second half.

Pulkit Samrat has made a promising debut with Bittoo Boss and his performance including the naach-gaana in the movie blends well with his looks. Amita Pathak has little scope to offer here but she does a decent job. What seems missing here is the chemistry betweeen Mrinalini and Bittoo. Pardon me for comparing this with Band Baaja Baarat, but even during their most romantic scene, their jodi does not seem to have that spark that Bittoo Sharma and Shruti Kakkar had in the 2010 box office hit. Rajendra Sethi and Mohan Kapoor do well with the limited scope they have. Without a shadow of a doubt, one person stealing the show is the debutant Ashok Pathak who plays the cabbie cum Bittoo’s assistant in the latter part of the movie. The fellowship of Bittoo and Vicky is what tickled some funny bones and Ashok has ensured to have his name in the speed dials of some of the directors.

Debutant writer and director Supavitra Babul has paid a lot of attention to the intricacies has populated the screen with some fun-filled characters. His story has the potential for light situational comedy and at the same time intense drama. However, what lets the debutante director down is the screenplay written by himself and Gautam Mehra which is half baked. Certain series of events does bring a smile to the viewer’s lips but the movie lacks in narration. The climax is boring and not convincing at all. The biggest turn off in this movie in my opinion is the lack of a suave narration.

Kumaar’s lyrics are good but Raghav Sanchar’s music is not something that strikes a chord with the audience and this being a wedding based movie, needed some hit songs. Amar Mohile has done a good job with the background score which was needed to maintain the tempo and the mood of a shaadi ka ghar. Manish Bhatt scores too with his cinematography and Abhishek Seth’s output as a piece of editing was a fine one.

Final Verdict – Bittoo Boss is an earnest effort made by many debutants and is definitely a one-time watch but disappoints because of its half-baked script.

The question “Who is Sonu Dilli KKC?”, was finally answered by Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films during the music launch of their much awaited movie Jannat 2. The music album was launched at the JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai on the 3rd of April, 2012. The evening was graced by Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Mukesh Bhatt (producer), Kunal Deshmukh (director) and Pritam (music director).

The creators of Jannat 2 had built hordes of suspense around Sonu Dilli KKC (Kutti Kameeni Cheez) which is the central character in the movie played by Emraan Hashmi. Over the last few days, Sonu Dilli KKC was seen all over the auto-rickshaws, radio spots and popular social media. This promotional campaign of the character seemed to have worked for Fox Star Studios. Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios India says, “We wanted to make Sonu Dilli KKC popular before the event and this was the best way to strike a chord with the right audience. The fact that media was talking about Sonu Dilli KKC before the event shows that our marketing initiative was successful”.

Emraan Hashmi made an unconventional back entry into the event with a loaded .38mm pistol in his hand and shot a glass that covered the stage, from which emerged the lead actress of the movie Esha Gupta with director Kunal Deshmukh. Esha Gupta, who is a model by profession makes her debut in Jannat 2 and seemed very excited for the release of the movie.

The video of the songs ‘Tu Hi Mera’ and ‘Tera Deedaar Hua’ were exclusively screened for the media present and Mukesh Bhatt commented, “I am happy that my friends from the media watched the videos before anyone else. Most of them came to me and said they loved it and that’s what made my day.”

Jannat 2 is not really a sequel to the 2008 blockbuster hit Jannat which was based on a man who was caught in the quagmire of crime. “I have never said it’s a sequel, it’s a franchise. Since Bhatts have so many movies that are already popular why not build it further and take it ahead.”, added Emraan who also played the character of Arjun in Jannat.

Director Kunal Deshmukh proudly talked about Jannat 2 stating that there is more to the movie than arms trade. “People should also look out for is the chemistry between Emraan and Esha. I feel everyone will talk about that once they watch them on the big screen”, added Kunal.

Slated for a world wide release on 4th May, 2012 which is right in the middle of the IPL season, producer Mukesh Bhatt daringly quoted that he is not scared at all to release the film during the cricket tournament. “In fact, it is the IPL has to be scared of Jannat 2 and irrespective of what happens in the IPL, there will be only one winner and it would be Jannat 2“, added Mukesh Bhatt. The music for Jannat 2 is out on Sony Music.

According to the latest buzz in Bollywood, actress Manisha Koirala is all set to make her comeback in Hindi films after a brief sabbatical. The 42-year old Nepali beauty who sizzled the B-Town with her performances in blockbuster hits like Khamoshi, 1942: A Love Story, Bombay and Dil Se, has signed three films already with two more in the pipeline.

When asked about her comeback projects, she said, “I will talk about my films later. Because I don’t know when the directors and producers are ready to make an announcement. But there are three films whose script I have okayed. I am meeting two more directors, I am okaying those scripts as well. This year I will be working. So next year would be a kind of comeback”.

Manisha expressed her plan of making a return to the B-Town in the Vidhu Vinod Chopra film festival, during the special screening of Vidhu’s 1989 film Parinda, which was a part of a retrospective of his films to mark his 30 years in Indian cinema. “He is one of the finest directors we have today. I was fortunate to work with him in 1942: A Love Story,” said Manisha.

Manisha had made her acting debut in Bollywood in 1991 with Subhash Ghai’s Saudagar which was a huge hit. The ‘ILU-ILU’ girl however, has had her share of ups and downs when she had to do several low budget films like Paisa Vasool (2004) and Sirf (2008).

It is believed that her lifestyle which included alcoholism lead to her downfall in Bollywood. However, it looks like Manisha has now lost all the extra weight and is all set to be back in action. Manisha got married to Samrat Dahal in 2010 and there were rumours of the couple going through a rough patch with their marriage.

It was recently reported that Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine is a bio-pic on the actress’ life. The director, however, has denied the reports. Reacting to the report, Manisha said “I hope he knows me well to make a movie on me.”

After breaking all records at the box office with their 2009 blockbuster 3 Idiots, Rajkumar (Raju) Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra & Aamir Khan are all set to roll the cameras for their next venture. Sources report that Aamir Khan has signed Raju Hirani’s next film. The film, which also stars Sharman Joshi, is tentatively named as Peekay and will be produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra who is currently celebrating his thirty years in the Indian cinema. The grapevine suggests that Anushka Sharma might be the leading lady of the movie.

Apparently, the storyline of Peekay is based on godmen and Raju Hirani is taking utmost care that no one gets hurt. The script of the movie is believed to have had as many as 17 drafts before it was finalized. “We have finished writing Peekay“, commented Raju Hirani.

Asked if the holy trinity of Bollywood would huddle up again, Raju Hirani said, “Yes, it would be a return.” Earlier, Aamir on his birthday had said, “I would love to do Raju’s film. But I want him to make the announcement. The script is very good. Raju is a very good director and a very good human being. We have spoken about a film, but it is better if he announces it.”

Aamir Khan has a busy calendar for himself in the coming two years, with Talaash hitting the screens in the later part of this year followed by Dhoom 3, which is scheduled to release in 2013. Talaash is a psychological thriller directed by Reema Kagti, which features Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. Talaash is well under-way, while the shoot for Dhoom 3 is slated to start in May. Rumours had that, Aamir signing this film has caused a delay in YRF’s action flick. Yash Raj Studios, however refuted this news.

The last time this trio got together during 3 Idiots, they smashed all the existing records in Bollywood including the highest-grossing film in its opening weekend in India and the highest opening day collections for a Bollywood film. The film went on to win a galore of awards which included six Filmfare Awards including best film and best director, ten Star Screen Awards and sixteen IIFA awards.
