The former Miss World, who is married to Abhishek Bachchan gave birth to a girl in November 2011 and received a total of 54 per cent of the votes, followed by Karisma Kapoor who got 27 per cent votes as the ideal mother.

Other contenders in the same category were Malaika Arora Khan and Lara Dutta.

Meanwhile, 67 per cent of voters regard Angelina Jolie as an ideal mother in Hollywood.

Many who participated in the survey feel that Priyanka Chopra would make an ideal mother, gathering 30 per cent of votes, followed by Kareena Kapoor.

Hema Malini and her daughter, Esha Deol were voted the “Most popular celebrity mother-daughter duo” taking 39 per cent of the votes, followed by Tanuja and Kajol, with 27 per cent votes.

Mr Gourav Rakshit, Business Head of Shaadi.com said the poll was conducted on Mother’s Day to reflect the mindset of people in accepting celebrities as mothers in real life.

Shah Rukh Khan, who has said that the filmmaker was not keen on making a sequel to Don 2 says, “We were not sure. Farhan was like, ‘how many Dons will I continue making!’ But we were not keen on making Don 2 too. It happened as we loved Don. Likewise, Don 3 may happen – you never know. We have kept a scene in Don 2 where there’s a slight hint that is given about the sequel. Everyone seems to be liking the action in Don 2, so does Farhan.”

Don 2 is an action thriller – a sequel to Akhtar’s earlier film Don:The Chase Begins Again, which was a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, Don (1978).

When the filmmaker himself was asked how many films audiences can expect in the Don series, he replied, “Film ki kahani khatam nahin hoti. Just the way Don ko pakadna mushkil hai…same way story khatam hona bhi mushkil hai.” (The story of the film does not end here. Just the way it is difficult to catch the Don…it is difficult to end the story.)

“I made the sequel to the first film as people were asking me if I was making any. Earlier I had not thought of making a sequel…but the appreciation and constant curiosity let me think on the second installment of Don,” he said at the unveiling of the Don 2 trailer.

Having said that, however, the director has admitted that he would like to experiement with other genres.

“I need a break from action films. I have to think about other genres of storytelling too. And as a director, it’s also my right to explore different things because my last two films have been in the action genre,” says Farhan.

He goes on to say, “For my personal growth as a storyteller, it’s important to move on,” and adds that he isn’t necessarily looking to make films on lighter subjects.

“I am not thinking about making a film like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or going back to the Dil Chahta Hai (2001) zone. I feel my contribution or enthusiasm level about doing action films has already created the Don films,” he says.

Well, we are left to wonder – can we expect any Shah Rukh Khan-Priyanka Chopra-starring Kill Bill-style action films in the near future?

He was speaking at the promotion of his latest film, Players and said that he would let fans know as soon as a name for Beti B has been decided.

Both Abhishek and his father, Amitabh have said that their new addition resembles her mother, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan.
“Thankfully, she (daughter) resembles her mother, but I have been told by the veterans that children’s face changes over time…I think it sounds better she looks like her mother,” Abhishek told reporters.

Speaking about fatherhood, the doting father says, “It’s the most indescribable thing that ever happens… No matter how good is your vocabulary, you can never get words of what you feel when you see the child.”

Abhishek was flooded with name suggestions after tweeting: “And suggestions for names are very welcome guys. Something with A.”

While father and son have been rather open about Beti B, Aishwarya has been criticized for being completely mum about her newborn.

The question now remains, does Beti B actually have a name and media and fans are merely being kept out of the know until the Bachchans are ready to put her in the spotlight? We will wait and watch and let you know as soon we do!

Khan describes her as “very sweet” and appears to have gone…gaga over her!

That’s right! The lady in question is Miss Poker Face herself, Lady Gaga who was in India for the Indian Grand Prix.

The international pop sensation also attended a party organized by Arjun Rampal and was joined by Khan who told reporters, “It (the interaction) was very nice. She (Gaga) was very sweet. I sat with her for a couple of hours and exchanged a lot of good things about life. She is very deep, very sweet. “

Khan also credits his daughter for being the influence for his Lady Gaga craze.

“My daughter is a big fan of Lady Gaga. She listens to her music and introduced me to her music. And I am also a fan of her now,” he told reporters at the F1 after-party on Sunday evening.

On Sunday evening, Khan tweeted, “Lady Gaga is all heart and soul. Gave me her glasses for my daughter. yippeee..brownie points unlimited.”

The singer arrived in India on Thursday night, addressed a press conference on Friday and performed for her Indian fans on Sunday.

Unfortunately the collaboration SRK wanted with Gaga for his film, Ra.One did not happen due to time constraints.

The source added that the play will have a high production value and will be done on a huge scale. The singers, still to be finalized, will perform live. Apparently the Sippy household is abuzz with this new project.

The production will be choreographed by Terence Lewis and will have music composed by Ranjit Barot. Costume design will be taken care of by Abraham and Thakore.

After making her mark in Bollywood as a leading lady and one of the most accomplished dancers in the 80s and 90s, Madhuri moved to the United States after marrying Denver-based cardiovascular surgeon, Shriram Madhav Nene in 1999.

The mother-of-two made her comeback film in 2007 with Aaja Nachle and was recently back in India as a judge on a dance-based reality show.

When asked about her decision to return to Mumbai, Madhuri said that while there were many factors involved, she and her husband would like their children, Arin and Ryan to be raised in India. “It would be a great experience culturally for them. This is where their roots are. They are at an age where they can adapt quickly. They’ll be giving up their friends here [in America], but they are looking forward to making friends there [India]. I want them to learn Hindi and Marathi. I think it will be an exciting time for them too.”
