There are lot of speculations and rumors rounding in the media about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s dream project “Bajirao Mastani” getting delayed. Without any confirmation, news are spreading like a fire that Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra starrer historical drama will be postponed from the scheduled date, December 18, 2015.
According to media reports, the reason behind the film’s postponement is said to be a) the delay in shooting of the movie and b) Producers of Bajirao Mastani freaked out knowing that Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale is also scheduled to release on the same day.
However, if an official source is to be believed, Bajirao Mastani is not getting delayed and will be releasing on the same day as planned. “The film is being shot on a war footing, pun intended. There are many never-seen-before war scenes, dances and dramatic confrontations. But Sanjay is on schedule. In fact, he didn’t even know about Shah Rukh’s plans or that there was talk of the film being postponed,” a source close to SLB said.
A spokesperson from the film’s co- producers Eros International also confirmed the same. “We are gearing up for a December 18 release and theatres are being blocked accordingly. The trailer will be coming out soon.”
With this, it has been also confirmed that the clash between Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani is definitely going to happen this Christmas. Well, it will be interesting to see which film wins the battle.
