Blue has been declared a hit and has made history by becoming India’s first underwater film. However, Akshay Kumar has yet to satisfy his adventure streak and has been left wanting more. The actor has now come up with a new concept for a future film titled Aasman — sky. The film will move from water to sky and is basically a sequel to Blue.
Pretty much all will remain intact; the film will be directed by Blue director Tony D’Souza, who went on to add, “I really want to work with John. All I can say is the producers are ready to back me with my next project with the same budget as Blue. It will start off as an undersea adventure and then move to the sky.”
The film is set to star Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Zayed Khan and newbie Neha Uberoi, and also John Abraham who will be paired opposite Sonal Chauhan. The producers are likely to make a formal announcement at a future bash which will celebrate the success of Blue and publicize Aasman.
