Cannes Day 1 – Taking it all in

As we told you in our interview director Shawn Arranha is France to attend the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. He is there to discuss one of his films with a London film company but he also is there to soak up the essence that is world cinema and he has promised us exclusive reports! The Cannes Film Festival held every year in France is one of the most well-known and well respected film festivals which has been held every year except two since 1946. According to the website, “Festival de Cannes has remained faithful to its founding purpose: to draw attention to and raise the profile of films with the aim of contributing towards the development of cinema, boosting the film industry worldwide and celebrating cinema at an international level.” Films from all over the world as well as stars from every type of cinema come to walk the red carpet, network, see some of the best films from the world over all in celebration of the motion picture!

The opening film was Woody Allen’s “Midnight In Paris” starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams and Marion Cotillard.
